Written July 2006; published in Art Bureau 12 BackgroundFeanne was born on the 25th of June 1988, in exciting Metro Manila. Her name, beautiful and unusual, is a synthesis of her paternal grandparents' names, Fe and Antonio. Influences
She grew up to the soundtrack of the Broadway musical Phantom of the Opera, and consequently knows its lyrics by heart. The soprano voice fascinates and inspires her. She acquired a taste for 'New Wave' Music because of her father. She inherited her artistic vision from her mother and maternal grandmother, both adept at working with paint. Books by Isabel Allende, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Anne Rice, and Neil Gaiman fill her shelves. Music, art, and literature are constantly present in her life. Media
Her favourite medium is pen and ink on paper. She prefers felt-tip pens, points 0.1 or 0.2, Artline brand, to be specific. She dabbles in digital photography, and, sometimes, digital drawing with a pen tablet. Interests
Design, art's sister, delights her. She appreciates color schemes, typefaces, fashion, functionality and aesthetics. She is intrigued by the golden ratio. Her favourite font is Century Gothic. Art
Feanne's art is dreamy and distracting. It relies heavily on the human mind's power of imagination-the ability to see, in the tangle of abstract lines and patterns, forms that aren't really there. The titles she uses for her works are only suggestions. She is content to leave the viewer free to interpret her drawings. Current
At present she is 20 years, 1 month and 28 days old, fairly picky, optimistic, and ambitious. Her system is immaculately devoid of alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco. She is in a happy romantic relationship with Erik Isaac, who plays the drums well and makes lovely drawings with charcoal and pencils. She is a full-time artist, a part-time procrastinator, and an interior designer in-the-making. She fills her time with daily drawings. She studies at University of the Philippines Diliman, where every day is an adventure.
