When Moon Shells Invade

When moon shells invade
There will be
shooting stars
and spring cleaning
Losts and founds
and little things that matter
Nostalgia
and legends born
Misadventures
and confessions of love
Hope again
Child spirits
(Laughing when you're not supposed to)
At last,
at last,
at last!

When moon shells invade.

Fireworks

We lit so many fireworks
Darkness faded into glow
The sound of each explosion
Throbbing in our chests
We were rendered powerless
By that beautiful brilliance

Hunger

I listened to it grow, growl
A hunger, ancient, deep,
As intimate and vast as the sea
A caged carnivore:
Hungry eyes
Hungry hands

I Weep Dewdrops

The tips of my slender branches
make a gentle swaying sound
as they brush the earth of your skin
and my delicate tangled roots cling tight
I weep dewdrops knowing that we are but temporal

Vast Grey Sea

Standing naked
Before the grey sea
Beneath the grey skies
She confronts
A horizon
As vast and empty
As her heart

In Love

I am tiny,
My body is a blood cell
Swimming vessels to your heart
I am vast,
My body is the universe
Holding our eternity within

Rain

Wild and wet,
Cool and velvet,
On your skin,
Flash of lightning,
Intense and luminous,
Beautiful and dangerous,
Like a woman.

Night

Night falls from your shoulders
Velvet, black, and luminous
I trace curving paths across your shoulderblades
And drown willingly into the unknown

One

Two bodies, one breath.
Two voices, one song.
Two minds, one dream.
Two hearts, one pulse.
Two souls, one flame

The Woman, The Water, & The Stars

I drink starlight
And dance in moon river
My eyes deep as the dawn
My heart light as a feather

Water warms my limbs
Silvers my skin
Touches my lips
Kisses my hips

Wet fingertips
Trace stars in the night
Writing poetry
On the sky

I bloom in the shadows
And dance in the fire
I believe in the wind,
In the earth, in delight

I drink starlight
And dance in moon river
My hands bright as a song
My heart light as a feather
